Pryor couldnt take crap from a power guy, why do you think he avoided them his whole career & he either fought guys like Cervantes well past their prime & never known for his power anyway, or nobodies, like D. Johnson & other bums of the month, he avoided Mamby, who would have outboxed him, Duran, Hearns, Leonard, I even give Andy Ganigan a shot to KO him early, cause Pryor could be hit, he just never fought a guy that hit hard enough to put him down & keep him down, Arguello was on his 4th move up in weight class & getting near the end, & Pryor still had to cheat to beat him, how do you think Pryor moves up to WW & beats full fledged Power guy at that weight like Cuevas, your one of those people that look at stats & Pryor vs. Arguello & base everything on that, I saw Pryor in person & talked to enough people that knew him & everyone in Cincinnati knew he was limited in what he could do, no defense, left himself wide open, that's why bums hit him & put him down, they just were not powerful enough to finish him, talk about overrated, sure Pryor could beat the mid to lower class guys, but he didnt want any part of the upper echelon, he is lucky Duran passed up his weight class, & I even give Mancini a shot at beating him in a brawl, & Mancini was only so good to a point himself, & I give Harry Arroyo a shot at winning a decision over Pryor at LW, Harry hit pretty hard & could move & box, I say Ganigan KO's him, Pryor would break Kenty down, & win, but Jim Watt outboxes at LW, Haugen may have beaten him also, why do you think Pryor attempted LW then said the heck with it & moved to JWW, where there hardly any known guys there, LW was loaded at that time, his people knew what he could & could not do, & people that say otherwise are only going on 1 fight with Arguello & stats compiled against low competition, wake up Pryor was overrated & protected so his People could all they could in a short time & they did & they abused him & let him waste himself.

This might be one of the dumbest post ever on the History section

I'll take Prior over Pepino!!!! Pepino was a very one dimentional fighter who could be frustrated and I see Aaron doing just that!! If your caught by his hook it could hurt or stop you but its easy to see and he uses a wide punch technique most of the time!!! Prior style would drive Pepino crazy and Aaron would score on Pepino easily!! I like Prior in this scrap! Ray

the way I remember it, pryor was like all young fighters, hungry for a shot at the money so whether 135 or 140, he'd fight anyone for a shot at money. didn't avoid anyone. u cant b picky when u young n tryna make a move. 147 was too high for him but if he did fight cuevas of course he's the quicker more coordinated fighter, pipino was a pure puncher who just walked into shots n took whatever many to get his hooks in. but eventually cuevas would land a hook on the smaller pryor who wouldn't b able to discourage a rockhead welter like cuevas. so at some point in the fight with pryor having won every round up to the point, cuevas lands a hook and pryor comes apart. cuevas is not a former featherweight moving up to 140. he's 147lb knockout only kinda hooker. cueavas by ko

Pryor was a small short JWW, he does not beat a Champion Welterweight with supreme power, Pryor was downed 7 or so times in his career by bums and once by an old Cervantes, Cuevas blows him out of the water easily, a strong WW vs a short JWW, LOL! and with a weak chin and no defense and zero brains, so no Ring Generalship for Pryor, even with his Magic bottle he loses by KO.
