The boxing robe: Why was it invented?

One simple reason: to keep a fighter warm through introduction. There is nothing worse than warming up then cooling back down before having to start. It takes longer to warm up again and you start out stiffer than normal.

So idiotic fans like The Surgeon could stumble around shadow boxing in their living room at 4am after a big fight on tv, steaming drunk wearing their Balboa robe and signed Tyson glove boring their mates with boxing knowledge?
