I would pick Oscar De La Hoya in this fight. Oscar gets underrated on this forum so I'll probably be in the minority but a lot of people don't seem to remember or realize how amazing and great Oscar really was.

I'm not hating on Locche I just don't think he would be able to hurt Oscar and with Oscar's speed and power he would eventually catch Locche and finish him up.

the best thing de la hoya can do in this fight is keep it a boxing match and not get drawn into the same trap as many of locche's victims .i use the word victims as locche had a way of backing off to the ropes. then as he felt the ropes at his back he would twist off changing position almost with his opponent and quickly score. and build up his points . if de la hoya could avoid this trap his ability should give him a chance .either way de la hoys would feel very frustrated at time .i am going for locche by sd if the fight has non american judges

I can see Locche making De La Hoya lool foolish at times and make it close but i think Oscar can do enough to edge it on the cards

Im with Carlos - Oscar gets way to much ***** on here, he could really fight

Oscar would have a lot of trouble landing on Locche, but Locche didn't really care that much about offense. It depends on whether or not Locche has the kind of output to win rounds or just has all the defense not to lose them. I would probably favor Oscar to win, just because he would be on Locche's ass all night, but I wouldn't bet on it.

De La Hoya was a fine fighter, & no better in my view than when he was at 140lbs, but it is impossible not to think of an ageing Whitaker when making this match.

That is the first thing that came to mind, but even an old Whitaker was miles ahead of Locche offensively. I think that he could make Oscar sillier than even Whitaker did, but I'm not sure he could cash in on it.

Thats the way i looked at it, he'd win basically on volume and being the aggresor
But be made to look a fool in the process

Whitaker was better than Locche and Locche's resume isn't all that impressive. It's a bunch of Argentine no names for the most part. I can see the relation with Locche and Whitaker both being defensive minded guys, but Whitaker was much slicker and IMO was much better than Locche....
