Just imagine this from a promoter/fan stand point. If this fight could of happen today at the Madison Square Garden. Both major boxing networks are representing both fighters. Its on ppv and its a 15 round bout, knowing its not going to go to distance. Michael Buffer just finished with his famous motto and both fighters are looking across the ring looking at each other. Then it happens! The bell tolls and the fight is under way. Who wins?

Great fight. I like Jack Dempsey in this matchup, perhaps the only man to ever KO Rocky.

I also like Dempsey in this macth-up as he good fall back on boxing if need be something the Rock cannot do.

I got Dempsey Big in this one, Obviously Rocky has the ability and Power to KO Jack but i think Dempsey was much faster and imo the puncher

Because of the style of fight this would be, either man could get it done, but were it not for that, I would bet big on Dempsey. He just does the vast majority of things better, or has the advantage one way or another. Faster hands, better combination-puncher, more accurate with his hands, similar power & punch-resistance, height, reach, & snappier footwork & reflexes overall. A faster starter than Marciano, too --- could be critical in a brawl from the outset.

Dempsey on a ref's stoppage in seven, IMO. Marciano dropped twice, Dempsey, once.

Both had terrific whiskers so it really wouldn't suprise me to see this one last the distance.
Think Dempsey would dominate early and i'd favour Marciano late but overall i'd go with Dempsey.

Rock was more powerful, if only slightly, but Dempsey had the speed and skill advantages and that's not even close. This is a vicious infighting war while it lasts, can't really see it going to decision with the pace they would set. Dempsey KO 10.

They were physically battle-hardened fighters, but mentally, each was also bitterly determined. This could be spectacularly brutal for spectators.

Dempsey would not have to look for Marciano-And he would swarm the Rock early.

Dempsey early in brutal fashion.

U thinks so? I dunno man, the power these boys pack and the style the both fought i think its gonna be a short and brutal fight that might make Hagler vs Hearns look like a casual spar!
