Better in rematches: Sweet Pea or Ray Robinson?

Well? Who do you think was better at adjusting to what his opponent gave him previously?

The sheer greatness of the rematch wins Sugar Ray Robinson does it for me.

    Sammy Agnott
Fritzie Zivic - Went from UD to TKO.
LaMotta x3 UD's agter losing then a TKO.
Kid Gavilan in which he improved a disputed decision to a obvious one,
Jose Basora - Draw - KO
    Randy Turpin L > TKO.
Bobo Olson x3 with the latter 2 being KO's
Gene Fullmer L > KO (he did lose and draw after that though)
    Carmen Basilio L > W

Ray did lose a few rematches but, none when he was in his or close to prime.

Sweet Pea's rematch record does not top that in my opinion.

You would have to give it to Robinson. Unfortunate, because Whitaker absolutely did not put a foot wrong in any of his return fights, much to his credit, & the level of opposition was strong enough.

Simply, Robinson gets the benefit of the doubt by virtue of having defeated some real greats, including a few whilst drastically removed from his peak.

This sums it up pretty much. Good post. Expect some green K after I "spread reputation around"
