8.5. Was an old Louis, but still Joe Friggin Louis. It also gave The Cincinnati Cobra the recognition as true World Champ. So a solid win, not great though. And a lot of impact, status wise.

      You can't rate it.....

Joe Louis was so far past his prime he couldn't see it in his rear view mirror.

There's no denying Joe was old at 36 years old and, after coming back from a 2 year lay off. Joe didn't win anything of note after that, Bivins was not a good fighter when Joe beat him by decision and a win over old contender in Lee Savold.

Ezzard Charles was in or close to his Heavyweight prime at 29 years old and going on to beat figthers such as Maxim and Jersey Joe Walcott was doing pretty well for himself so that doesn't help balance it at all.

        Overall I'd rate it a 5.0

people down play beating an out of prime Joe Louis too much if you ask me. That same out of prime Joe Louis I whole heartedly believe would KO both Klitschko brothers, and Haye. This is the reigning champion of all time your talking about. I only name those guys because they're present, but the Joe that lost to Ezzard I'd say could beat most ( not all) champions in their prime after the golden age.
