Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Macho Camacho

Who wins it in a lightweight bout? Marquez's substance or Macho's flash?

pretty clearly Camacho to me. Marquez struggled against fighters like Chris John and Freddie Norwood, and Camacho was not only faster and more elusive, but also a more dangerous puncher than both of them.

Bad style matchup for Marquez. I see Camacho peppering him with shots constantly.

Bad style match-up for JMM,i often favour him over come forward guys but i think he loses a decision against a slippery guy like camacho

Excellent fighter at 130-135, Camacho. People (want to?) forget that. I think he wins this one, much as I'd like to see Marquez do it.

If a young JMM with the skill set of the current JMM faced a young Camacho I think it would be a boring fight since they are both some what defensive/counter punchers.

Camacho loved to lead. He'd jump in, pepper you and then dart out again. And even if he didn't, Marquez will open up if you don't come at him. It would be an exciting fight either way. I'm just not sure that Marquez could get Camacho's rhythm down soon enough to beat him. He'd have to time both the jump and those lightning fast hands because no way in hell would JMM out-athlete Macho...I don't like his chances. I posted this thread so somebody could convince me otherwise hahaha.

JMM's uppercuts and right bombs would knock that gay little curl off Camacho's faggot ass.
