Anybody here have an oppinion or know the truth behind the claim that Jack Dempsey threw his fight with Fireman Jim Flynn? Or if he really did pimp out his wife for cash?

Dempsey has never admitted to throwing his fight with Flynn. His wife however said that he was offered more money to lose, and that is what he did. I think he threw the fight.

Dempsey denies ever pimping his wife. This was a claim made by his first manager I believe. I will double check when I get home.

Ok, then that would be his second manager who he was with during his prime who got him all the big fights.

Dempsey has denied this claim though.
