Ranking David Haye's Punching Power Among The Greats?

Now, this has nothing to do with Haye's ATG ranking etc. Soley were does Haye's punching power & offence (AND NOTHING ELSE) rank with the greats?

Haye I feel does have quite incredible power & offence. Is he a ATG puncher?

OMG DAVID HAYE IS NOT AN ATG YOU MUST NOT KNOW ANYTHING WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HISTORY SECTION?!!!

Ok, now that I got that out of the way for everybody, no, I don't think Haye is an ATG heavyweight puncher. He hasn't really done it against anybody who would qualify him for that sort of ranking. He's an impressive athletic fighter, though, now if only he would shut up and work on his cardio a bit.

At CW he's definitely one of the tops in terms of power. At HW he's still definitely powerful, but not so much as to be included among the heaviest hitters ever.

The man can hit, he is one of the top p4p hardest punchers in the game today but at HW we have had some real BOMBERS! Haye is a sharp hitter and hits hard enough to warrent the discussion but falls short of the Great punchers

Well put.. Haye's only playing at being a heavyweight.

The whole 'is he or isn't he?' (gonna fight a Klit) fiasco has put-paid to any chance he has of ever being as well remembered as Tommy Burns, let alone becoming an ATG in any department. Offensive puncher or otherwise, how can he be mentioned in the same breath as Foreman, Shavers, Liston or even Frank Bruno when he's never really hit anyone who's any good. I'd have put my money on any of the above to have ko'd Valuev in aggressive fashion, but Haye fights like a hesitant sniper with no real desire to have a scrap and without a great deal of confidence in his chin.

Another gripe would be, if he's gonna take on the likes of Audley Harrison and a washed up Johnny Ruiz, then why not do what Joe Louis did and fight every month until a decent challenge does arise. Haye's never gonna be great because he doesn't want to be. He was making plans for his retirement before he'd even won the title so there was never even any blue print of ambition to be great in the fist place. All he wanted was one easy defense then to land a lucky punch on a Klitschko and get the hell out of boxing to become a fancy dan film star. He's not without talent, but just a lost cause in boxing i'm afraid.

I don't believe Haye should be mentioned in conversation when referring to all time great punchers such as Mike Tyson and George Foreman. His offensive style is sloppy and so technically flawed that it makes it hard to watch, even when he is fighting a flunk. If Haye had power and offense comparable to that of an ATG, that may make him an ATG, which he is far from.

David Haye has not done anything to demonstrate that he is one of the hardest hitting HW's or deserves mention in convo about ATG hitting heavies.... David Haye is an early round knockout when put in the ring with any ATG heavy in history.

This pretty much sums it up,because as the TS said we are simply talking about his punching power, and no other area of his game

He would have to fight a Klitschko for this to be any real conversation. You can't rate his power all time if he hasn't fought anyone to see it with.
