Who do you think would of won? When McCallum was Duran's #1 contender for the WBA 154lb title?

McCallum was enormous and consistent at 154 and imo a lot better than Davey Moore, but Duran chose to fight Hagler instead. I think Hagler's style and build complimented Duran a whole lot better than McCallum's would have. Duran let himself go after the Hagler fight and would've been no match for the Jamaican at that time. Pre-Hagler would have been a lot more competitive with McCallum taking a UD.

No bigger Duran fan than me but whilst I think an in shape Duran would be competetive, once you start to go above WW a great fighter has got Duran beat and McCallum was a great fighter. Only chance Duran would have would be to knock McCallum out of his stride but McCallum was a bit too canny for that.
