    Nice Mr. Malone.

Let me know if you like it. It has some great pics and gives a good basic info about boxing history with a nice angle on the British scene.

Sam Langford: Boxing's Greatest Uncrowned Champion by Clay Moyle is an excellent read and a must have, it supplies you with plenty of knowledge and is very well researched.

            They Could've Been Contenders

That Night in the Garden: Great Fights and Great Moments from Madison Square Gardens

            both by Jim McNeill

I seem to be the only person on here who has read these but I have read probably 90% of the books mentioned so far and these measure up amongst the best imo.
Go on take a chance i'll give you your damn money back if you don't like them!
And no I have no vested interest in the books or author

I saw it was an older book (1974 I think?) and I like getting different angles on the sport and I love old boxing pictures. My knowledge of the British scene is slim so that's good to know...

Well, I got a book but it was not the book I ordered. It's a book by Sugar which I don't want. Thanks for the hassle Amazon.com seller. These people couldn't look at the ISBN on the book they sent me and the receipt they sent with it as they don't match.
