well, I would prefer a 'draw' over a more drastic sounding loss/win. Marquez vs Pac 2 was a 50-50 fight in terms of who won. theres a huge difference between someone losing that fight and winning that fight, since a lot was on the line.
the difference between Marquez winning the Pacquiao fight and losing it is pretty big. Saying that it was simply a draw sort of takes both of the worlds and merges them.

I could simply say 'I thought Marquez won' and ignore the other half of boxig fans that thought Pacquiao won, but I think its more fair to simply call it an even fight at that point, since an even number of people thought each man won.

Marquez is quite someway below both resume wise imo

He lost to pacquiao twice in reality (judge mistake in first fight)

Casyamyor had been looking horrible for quite some time but still had the cards allmost level prior to the late ko.

Barrera fight was a lot closer then scored

Diaz, Medina, Kastidas all decent fighters but nothing special

I felt he had the better of Manny, Casamayor was coming off a KO of an undefeated Micheal Katsidis and one fight prior to the Cruz farce a win over Dieago Corrales. Point being i think Joel still had something in the tank there and is a big fight fighter.

Barrera takes some beating tho. I do feel that Marquez deserved the nod against Pacquaio although he didnt get it, so in my opinion its a win and a win over Pac man trumps any win either Morales or Barrera have on their records. Obviously judging greatness comes down to more than that but lets discuss...........

All great fighters and im a huge fan of them all btw
Morales beat Pacquiao much more convincingly than Pacquiao when he was a past prime verging on shot fighter. JMM was offered a carrear high payday to fight Morales but turned it down in 2004.

MAB beat Naseem Hamed the greatest featherweight of the last 20 years. Naz was past prime but still was a very dangerous opponent and the favourite going in. JMM turned down a carrear high payday to fight Naz in 2000. A way past it MAB was able to beat JMM in many peoples eyes.

JMM spent the 90s fighting bums and journeyman so his longetivity is down to him not fighting the wars MAB and Morales have.

            1. Morales
            2. MAB
            3. JMM

He was more defensive and cautious, after the highway robbery in Indonesia he became much more aggressive. I do agree to some degree that his age/legs has made his style even more aggressive and partly why he keeps bringing it in these great fights were seeing.

Thats a tough question also, I always liked Morales vs Pacquaio 1 it is the best performance against Pacquaio. Switching south paw in the 12th I thought was really macho, he could have switched back to orthodox but he let Pacquaio beat him up in the 12th.

I give Marquez full credit for the casamayor fight, he had won all five of his previous fights (3 of them by ko's) and he had never been dropped in his whole career.

That was badass of Morales in the 12th!

It shows the quality of their matches that Pac vs Morales and the other classics dint make my top 3

Erik is in for a beating if a JMM fight happens at this point tho, he is shot to bits
