Well, I don't see this as close as some of you.

McClellan was a flat-out ungodly puncher, made more imposing by his frankly insane weight-draining episodes (McClellan was the absolute king of the modern day drainers). He hit harder than Benn --- hit harder than anyone within his generation for my money, in point of fact.

Certainly, that is an open debate, & one I would not begrudge anyone siding with Jackson. I do feel that McClellan, still relatively young when he was struck by the Benn incident, showed by way of his draining he may well have had little problems moving up & knocking out bigger men. I often wondered what would've been had he taken an option to come up in weight & tackle sturdier foes.

I think his power would've held up, being honest. McClellan's punch was definitely in the same league as Jackson's, & for mine, superior to Benn's.

youll get no disagreement from me.

When McClellan KOed, their lights just turned off instantly. Although I personally think Jackson was the p4p harder puncher, McClellan was definitely close.

I feel Benn and Jackson had more 'raw' power, but McClellans quick shots were almost designd for knockouts.

They both had a hell of a punch, god I wish their fight would have just ended well and they could have both go on to be huge legends. What a shame.

Gutting isnt it, Gerald well we all know his story, and Nigel his greatest night ruined by the guilt and sadness and he was never really the same.

G man should have been one of the Greats

                  Gerald > Nigel.

Feel guilty for enjoying that fight.

I don't think McClellan was ever going to be that good, personally.
