  • Toney vs Nunn rematch: was there any talks about this

Does any one have any info? Did Nunn ever ask for rematch?

I think there was some dispute between the Goosens (Nunn) and Jackie Kaelens thriple threat team (Toney). Nunn also moved up immidiately after Toney.

Still I'd have favoured Nunn in a rematch. IMO Toney got lucky.

Dont know if there was ever talk about a rematch. But I disagree that Toney got lucky he started changing the tide from the 7 rd on, After Nunn dominated early

That was because Nunn fought a ****** fight, he was brawling instead of boxing and moving like Dundee wanted

Well Nunn was very talented but he always had a tendency to get lazy in fights and unlike smaller fighters like Starling & Curry, James Toney had the power & skill to take advantages of nunn mental lapzes. I think james was an underrated puncher at 160. He was able to hurt mccallum who had an iron chin in the last rd of there first fight. But I disagree with the guy that said Toney got lucky, Cause in my opinion Nunn was barely up 6-4 going into the 11th rd.
