Alexis Arguello vs Jose Luis Ramirez

I watched this fight recently, and its quite a rare gem...Very high level fight, god action.

I actually thought Ramirez pretty clearly deserved the win however. He was countering Arguello effectively and knocked him down in the mid rounds. Very impressive performance for a 21 year old Ramirez.

Who do you think won the fight?

Ramirez was 67-2 coming into this fight at age 21, virtually all in Mexico. A Chavez-like record early career.

its basically like having an amateur career. a lot of Mexicans dont have the luxury of fighting in the amateurs, and have to pay the bills somehow.

Ramirez was a tough son of a gun. He was part of the same stable as J.C. Chavez(up til they fought each other). They liked to keep busy and fight alot.
