I completely disagree. Plus, Norton never faced a prime Ali either.

Yes, but, the style nonetheless had Ali in fits and I had Norton winning 2 fights.

Norton did not do enough to win the 3rd fight. Against an Ali who couldn't dance, he still had only 1 win and that wasn't a shutout either. I'm not sure where we're going with this disagreement, I just believe Ali was the greatest based on the fact that nobody would have his number in a trilogy.

          Greatest ever or greatest heavyweight?

Most people including me feel Norton won that fight, the people that thought Ali won are definitely in the minority, the 2nd fight was close but Ali won.

He beat the best version of the 70s Ali and I'd give him a good chance against the 60s version as well, just my opinion though.

Agree with all of that. Ali won a close one in the second fight and definitely should have lost in Yankee Stadium.

Everyone has a style that works against them so anyone that does rank purely on who they "think" is unbeatable is going to have a very flawed list.

Being the greatest means achieving the most and beating the best to prove it, coming out on top of great adversity, number of defences, etc, etc.

Also what a boxer does outside of the ring should not effect his standing.
This is spot on. There isn't a fighter in 95% of the top ten listings of ATGs without a loss. They have all been beaten.

Those without any losses, such as Marciano, didn't face the competition that equals the rest which is why they are not in the top ten.
