    James Scott....What A Story.

I find his story very interesting and am sure most would or do. I actually feel he gets underrated. A better insight on him.

Rahway was responsible for getting Dwight Qawi into boxing as well, Qawi turned professional as soon as he got out though.

i have 6 fights of James Scott and he was an incredible athlete, Scott always claimed he was the uncrowned champion due to him being in prison. yet i don't think he was champion material.

Scott was champion material, just ask former lightheavyweight champ eddie mustafa muhamed and one of the best fighters of that era not to win a belt yauri lopez, scott beat them both while training himself in prison with out much problem

Mustafa was the #1 contender when Scott beat him. Not sure if he'd have ever beaten Saad or Spinks and he did lose to Qawi, but an excellent fighter, especially given his circumstances.

I remember when he was beating contenters, was quite a story. No way a champion would fight him in prison and I wouldn't blame them but he had quite a run of big wins. Did he ever get out or at least become elgible for parole?

Yes, he has been out for a while. I see him from time to time at many of the Amateur Boxing shows in Trenton.
