  • Tyson on Larry King tonight

Just found out that Tyson will be on King's show tonight in about 2 hours. I'm putting that out there for those who are interested. Supposedly he'll be on for the whole hour.

Mike came off very well, and I'm not really a fan of his. This time his good nature really seemed genuine. I was also impressed that for the entire hour he didn't need to be bleeped even once. It was like he got rid of all the anger he had.

I don't like how he feels like he has to abandon all traces of his old self. I enjoy watching Mike when he was confident in himself. I have a compilation of all his old post fight interviews and press conferences and I thoroughly enjoyed the things he would say.

I wasn't crazy about the guy he was post Holyfield, but at his best, there was nothing better than listening to a confident Mike Tyson. He was great for boxing.

Great video Carlos... like you i have 100s of hours of Mike Tyson interviews and footage from his early days in the late 1980s and he was the epitamy of a prizefighter..

I understand what you are saying, but Mike isn't competing anymore. He doesn't need that edge. To me it's nice not to hear him constantly talking about dying young and things like that. He seems to have embraced his middle aged post athletic life, and that will serve him well if he can stick to it.

Another good video showcasing Mike's confidence. Watch him roll his eyes and talk about Spinks as if it's just another day in the office.

I definitely agree that Tyson's confidence in the 80s was perfect for boxing. He talked with class and didn't have to be bleeped on tv. But supremely confident.
