I think the best natural boxers are close to middle weight. Only because of there being more people close to that weight when training hard for boxing. The same way a city will produce more talent the a town. Taking that into account boxing in general should come less naturally to big boxers. So it may take them longer to learn the skills. Yes I think they may hit their prime a little later.

The smaller fighters are more dependent on speed & reflexes --- it makes sense that the bigger men turn pro later, peak later, & generally last altogether longer at the elite-level.

I do agree with the line of thought Holtol is pushing, though --- biologically, you will find boxing at its very best around 147-160lbs.

It really makes no difference about size its about when you turn pro. Europeans dominate the higher weights and they generally turn pro later

I think higher weight classes may appear to be in there prime longer because there mental level of boxing improves, and in higher weight classes you don't neccessarily need extreme speed or great reflexes to dominite just basic fundamentals, power, and ring smarts. The Klits, Lennox, and foreman come in mind when thinking of this because they were much faster maybe even stronger when they were younger but appear better with age due to experience. While lower weight classes speed and reflexes are key to success. Example being Pac I mean he may not be the smartest boxer in the ring but his speed, reflexes and power alone makes him better than almost everyone at his weightclass. I doubt when he slows down at an older age he will be as dominate.

No... all fighters hit their prime around 27-30yrs old, it was Lennox Lewis who started all this crap by claiming he was like "Fine Wine" when he beat Mike Tyson but the reality of it was that Tyson was a SHELL of the fighter he had been 15yrs earlier, had served several lengthy prison sentences was on drugs and had been hammered 6yrs previous by Evander Holyfield then lost to Danny Williams & Kevin McBride... Lewis was in his prime 92-96

I don't agree with that. Lewis, to me, looked no better than during the period 97-02 (approx.). As a biological rule, an athlete will hit their peak stride anywhere between their early twenties, through to their early-thirties (with 24-29 being a golden period for most), but Boxing is not Sprinting, or Cycling. There is much more to a Boxer, the learning of their craft, the knowledge & ring-smarts which come only with experience, & the like. This is why not all Boxers' peak as fighters specifically during their physical prime, & Lewis was a clumsier, more mistake-prone version of himself in the period you ascribed to my eyes.

No true. All fighters peak & age differently, and thats a fact.

You will get some fights who peak at a very early age etc like Wilfred Benitez, Pipeno Cuevas, & Naseem Hamed, and you will get others who peak at a late age like Archie Moore, Glen Johnson, Bernard Hopkins, Sergio Martinez and so on.

There isn't a age were all fighters were hit there peak. Everyone is different, and all fighters can have there peak & prime at different age's in there career.
