1994-2004 No one else has had a reign that long. Also if you can't see that Roy Jones is far and away the greatest of his era then you simply don't know boxing and when you dig deeper and stop looking at boxrec you realize he is the greatest of all time

lol do you even know why he got DQ? Roy hit him while he was down(meaning Roy knocked him down) and Griffin pretended to feint.

End of story, he lost, get over it, it was a very close fight and Roy hit him with 2 clean shots when he was clearly on 1 knee, it was DQ worthy even if Griffin "faked" it like you think.Last edited by NChristo; 11-26-2010, 01:44 PM.

It wasn't close, Griffin wouldn't have made it out of the round

So you think RJJ is better than: Robinson, Langford, Armstrong, Greb, Duran, Pep, Jofre, B.Leonard, Ezzard Charles, Muhammad Ali, Jimmy Wilde etc.
Please care to elaborate how he surpasses any ONE of these fighters achivements.

Yes, he lost to Griffin, the fight was fairly even until Jones got DQ.
Bob Fitzsimmons is the first to go from Middleweight and win the Heavyweight championship.
No he doesn't have the longest reign as p4p #1, did you even check ?, Marvin Hagler has 4 consecutive years(83', 84', 85' and 86'), Pernel Whitaker has 3 (93', 94' and 95').
Roy how ever has 3 years and it wasn't really a reign because they're all seperate 96', 99' and 03'.
