Thoroughly dominated 2 Hall of Famers in their prime

    Olympic Gold Medalist**

*we all know he didn't really lose to Griffin

At one point agreed. But the legacy has been tarnished.

To get punked by Antonio Tarver seconds after asking Roy what excuses he was gonna have tonight......was backed up with one punch.

Watching him twitch on the canvas after getting crushed by Glenn Johnson didn't help his cause.

His rematch with Tarver.....was a guy looking to hide and survive not fight.

Gets KO'd again in Aussie Land.

Looked absolutely horrible against a much OLDER BERNARD HOPKINS

And to be honest...watching Joe C with his hand down...literally making a fool of Roy...was almost poetic justice......and there was another beating...and maybe the most humiliating of them all.

Call it bad karma...but when you make a career of mocking opponents the way Jones did...it was justice seeing him being toyed with in just the same fashion.

Roy Jones at one point didn't lose rounds. And we can forgive aging legends like Ali at the end....and Joe Louis......but Roy has been beaten and beaten so badly I think in his case it has tarnished his reputation.

Sadly in Roy's defense....he was a hell of a lot better fighter the Golden Boy Oscar who when you break it down..made a career out of losing big fights....and yet he's a legend. So who knows. At least he got out after the Pac Man whipped his ass....I'm not so sure Roy and his giant ego realizes he aint but a shell of what he once was.

    Hasn't been for years.

Almost every great fighter stays in the game too long Sugar Ray took a beating at the hands of an old washed up Macho Camacho, Roberto Duran almost died in the ring when he fought Joppy, Ali got beat by a guy with 7 fights, etc etc.

By those standards Zsolt Erdrei Ricardo Lopez and Joe Calzaghe are the greatest fighters of all time The whole idea of

Is Michael Jordan's legacy tarnished cause he wasn't even a top 40 player in the NBA on the Wizards?

        No, no he's not.
Yes, he lost to Griffin, the fight was fairly even until Jones got DQ.
Bob Fitzsimmons is the first to go from Middleweight and win the Heavyweight championship.
No he doesn't have the longest reign as p4p #1, did you even check ?, Marvin Hagler has 4 consecutive years(83', 84', 85' and 86'), Pernel Whitaker has 3 (93', 94' and 95').
Roy how ever has 3 years and it wasn't really a reign because they're all seperate 96', 99' and 03'.

This is the history section but you're asking us too forget about all past boxers and just declare Roy the GOAT ?.
        Oh dear.

Roy Jones Jr seems to me the most talented boxer that existed, and I think in its prime would beat any opponent between 160 pounds and 175 pounds. But in his record were missing many big names, so I do not think the best ATG. I think if he had fought, Michael Nunn, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Gerald McClellan, Tim Littles, Bernard Hopkins remach in 2000/01, James Toney remach at CW post Jirov, Tyson, Holyfield, Dariusz Michalczewski 2003.
These fights instead of Fermin Chirino, Danny Garcia, Antoine Byrd, Vinny Pazienza, Tony Thornton, Merqui Sosa, Eric Lucas, Otis Grant, Richard Frazier, David Telesco, Eric Harding, Derrick Harmon,

              I see what you're selling.

No, thanks. Being perfectly honest, I would not even buy the argument Jones was the best fighter of his generation, much less all-time. The best of his generation, though, I can see a case for. Best of all-time, I see none.

No he really wasn't, because you think he was the best of them years does not mean it automatically makes him p4p #1 in the ratings and I suggest you watch the Griffin fight, second half even Merchant and Lampley were talking about Griffin possibly pulling of an upset and one of the judges was scoring it for Griffin.
