Dunphy & Gutteridge are two favourites, for mine.

Sheridan, people either love or hate. Seems he's having the time of his life with many fights, & I, for one, love his style in that regard. The Lampley-Merchant-Foreman-Lederman combination was something I always loved. It was often funny, sometimes insightful, fairly exciting, & the overall chemistry was rare, IMO.

Bernstein is someone not yet mentioned I have a lot of time for, as well.

      Clancy is another great shout.

Yeah Clancy made a great pair with Tim Whatshisname.

Alex Wallau was excellent as well.

Edit: Tim Whathisname = Tim Ryan.

I know this won't be popular but Lampley. At his worst, he's an obvious nuthugger. His mancrush on Pacquiao is absurd. But at his best, he is electric. He managed to make Fight of the Year Marquez-Diaz more exciting!

Couldn't stand Cossell, think in UK we were pretty well served by Carpenter and Gutteridge but I pretty much tune out commentators. Going back in history and for those who remember him in the UK more for This is Your Life will laugh but Eamon Andrews on the radio was good.

Eamon Andrews was very good, i have several fights with him calling the action from the late 50s early 60s... there have been some excellent commentators over the years and todays good ones are few and far between with my personal favorite being Jim Lampley.

Don Dunphy is the finest play-by-play announcer in all of sports imo. Pleasant voice, always aware of what was happening, solid on statistics, gave a fair and honest account of both fighters, straight as an arrow and was not bias at all. His post-fight interviews are always fun too.
