Arguello is one of my favorites ever and I wanted to include him, but felt that the others warranted consideration...although my list is in transition and by no means set in stone. H2H I think Arguello would be a handful for any of these guys and would probably rank in the top 5 of that format.

          73 beat #8 Jose Legra
          74 Lost to WBA champ Marcel, beat # 5 Hafey & # 6 Olivares
          75 beat # 5 hernandez and # 6 kobayashi
76 couple of decent wins but no major ranked opponents
77 more of the same and by mid year was moving into the SFW division.

Good guy and certainly warrants consideration and I would not argue if anyone placed him there...again I wanted to! I just think he was lacking the longevity and dominance of the division that some of the others had going for them..

But if you are willing to present a case for him I would be interested in it. He remains one of my favorites and IMHO is one of the best ring generals ever!

Where's Vincente Saldivar? Also, I'm not sure Morales is a very good choice at FW. He only had about 6 or so fights there and lost to Barrera think at FW. He was top ten as a SBW without any doubt, but probably not FW. I'd replace him with Ernesto Marcel, Vincente Saldivar, Johnny Famechon...I don;t know. There are a lot of guys that were much greater FW's than Morales, as good as he was.

Good to see the name Johnny Famechon there, I have not made my list yet, but two great names not mentioned yet was the brilliant Young Griffo and remember that Battling Nelson was also a good FW before he got to LW. List soon.

I'm sorry, but Armstrong does not belong on this list, nor any other but WW and P4P.
