I kind of hesititated before posting him because I kind of remember him having a title or belt but people still barely remember him as a champion

a good shoutout is Ken Norton then

Norton was the WBC heavyweight champion in 1978.

But he briefly lost it after his first defense to holmes. Some of these title reigns are so insignificant I forget about them.
Lyle had a good jab, when he decided to use it.

This still has to be the best jab I've ever seen. Fast, sneaky, very powerful and consistent.

I love that fight. Peak Quartey. He was also in with a very game opponent. I loved quartey's counters when he was on the ropes.

I still feel Quartey was robbed against ODH. I'd give Angel Manfredy an honerable mention. He was fairly consistant with it. He had a very good jab.

Quartey was one of those guys who could have been legendary but had some of the worst luck (though luck had nothing to do with it) I've seen with judges. In his fight with Oba Carr, in which Quartey nearly won every single round and dominated the majority of the fight, had him busted up and hurt, he still only got a draw on one card. Luckily the other two saw it semi right and gave him a close MD.

Then, in his Oscar fight, he gets two cards against him with an unusually wide margin though I can understand Oscar winning but not by four rounds!

He also got royally screwed against Luis Lopez whom he definitely beat and then only got a draw with, then he goes on to lose to Vargas which was another one round fight and he loses a ridiculously wide UD by four/five rounds.

When he finally comes back he dominates Forrest and gets royally screwed again and loses an absolute shocker which again, he won easily!

True. Norton never won a title fight. The elimination fight with Young was 15 rounds though.
