There is no such thing as the best ever in any weight class or P4P. Someone, no matter Joe knows they are, will always have a different opinion.
like you saying if it was 12 rounds lol.....if the fight was less then we have to assume leonard if behind on the cards would mount his attack sooner......that stands to reason.....the bottom line is when both guys fought that night they were at there utmost best and Leonard showed to be the better more complete fighter because the puncher became the boxer and boxer became the puncher and that’s why Leonard is slightly higher than hearns in the rankings of all time greats and I’m not taking anything away from hearns because he was a freak of a fighter

Leonard didn’t willingly let himself lose until the 14th round, that wasn’t his strategy. Yes, Leonard is ranked higher P4P, but he caught a break in their rematch and that fight should have been a win for Hearns.

they were both way past there prime....leoanrd in fact was nowhere near the fighter he was when he beat hearns.....and he took hearns unbeaten record.
Leonard had only 4 fights in 8 years when he faced hearns again and even then hearns was hanging on for dear life at the end of the 12th round and Leonard was beating from ring post to ring post when the bell went......hearns did squeek that win but it was not a robbery and that’s compensated by the fact hearns had already grown into a super middleweight and was huge compared to leonard.in that rematch.
The first fight was when both fighters were both active and considered the top 2 welterweights of the last 50 years and that’s why that first fight from 1981 is considered in the top 5 fights in boxing history

Honestly, if you win a world title than you can not have a glass jaw.

It might be unhuman like but everybody has staggered in the ring

The most important thing is to be expecting the shot.

Your eyes have picked the shot up and your brain knows that you're gonna eat this one.

It prepares the body to accept the incoming impact.

Whether or not you realize that you've seen this. ...............Rockin'

He got knocked out shortly after. Norris's chin is about the worst I can recall on a world class fighter. With multiple belts in each division a fighter can absolutely win a belt with shrewd managing without having a strong chin.
Way back when there was one title per division what your saying might have been true. Boxers had to go through fire before they got a shot.

obviously you discounted the 13th round when Leonard battered hearns non stop and dropped him and was only saved by the bell lol.....he was out on his feet literally

Leonard was down by two and three points on the scorecards going into the 14th round. If he doesn't KO Hearns he loses. You seem to be making a bigger deal of this than it needs to be, are you Leonard's daughter? LOL

I’m not you seem to be coventinly leaving out facts about this fight.....ok he was down but the 14th round would have made it even and the 15th hearns would have been slaughtered.....it’s you simply ignoring the facts that Leonard proved he was the better fighter and that’s why he won......I’m just putting you yiur assessment that hearns was as good as Leonard ,..hope you’ve learnt your history lesson
