  • Breaking Down The Greb/Tunney Series?

How do you feel this series really went down? Some say Greb was robbed in one and should of been given a draw in another, some say Gene won the rest rightly.

    What's your take?

Yeah, the second one was meant to be a Greb win or draw at the least....Hard to know. I've actually seen a few rounds of Greb/Tunney, most have never seen Greb in action at all, and although I'm not sure which one it was I think it was the first as Greb was truly a madman and taking it to Tunney. Reminded me of a MW version of a LW Duran. Looked like a scary bastard and was really pasting Tunney. I wonder if the whole fight still exists?

It was ages ago from the internet. It's a great thing seeing him though. He really did look like a madman and looked very skilled too. Wasn't much footage at all, but certainly enough to get a good look and understanding of how he fought.

It makes those people that say the training videos of him are proof that he can't fight look really ******.

I'd say that the series went down with Gene Tunney clearly winning two, Greb clearly winning one, the two other fights being debatable.

The fourth fight was a great effort on Greb's part as Tunney was in his prime while Greb was out of his, yet he arguably won it. The first and fifth fight were equally as decisive, the first for Greb, the fifth for Tunney.
