Gustav Scholz, what do you know about him ?
I was going through the pages on Boxrec to see who are the best southpaws ever at LHW aside of guys like Moorer, Maske, Parlov and Marvin Johnson. I quickly noticed this guy, Gustav Scholz. He is ranked no. 19 AT at LHW by Boxrec, which is pretty amazing, although not unarguable. That makes him the highest ranked southpaw at LHW, and I didn't even know him.
His record is 88(46 KO)-2(0 KO)-6, from 1948 to 1964.
He dropped a decision to LHW king Harold Johnson at the end of his career.
If you know him, how good was he ? I took a quick look at his resume and I didn't recognize a lot of the names on it. Does he deserve his Boxrec ranking ?Discuss.
