    Jack Dempsey Pre Doc Kearns and Tex Richard

    What weight was dempsey and what was his record like at the time? i have read that when kearns met dempsey he was a skinny under fed middleweight who was tough and could punch, but wasnt expected to become a champion, and kearns built him into a heavyweight champion?

          Wasnt dempsey a middleweight clubfighter who would fight in bars, rings anywere were he could make some a dollar
