What is your opinion of this great contender from the Golden Era of Heavyweight Boxing, Strong, tough, rugged two-fisted brawler.

he was in a pack of fighters that stood toe to toe with the top guys of that so called golden era and never did to much but take a lot of punches,

      Do you even watch boxing?

Bonavena would have been heavyweight champion in most other eras. Though I found him incredibly boring to watch, he was a good body puncher and puncher overall, and had a good chin.

Strong, tough, awkward. Could hang with punchers and brawlers, but had major problems with quality boxers. His size would make him less effective now than he was in his era.

            Tough, rugged fighter.

Fought the best of his era.

IMO, he should've been awarded a knockdown over Chuvalo in their fight.
