Quartey beat DLH just as convincingly as Mosley did. But the question is ultimately bogus. You're talking about an underdeveloped DLH at LW. In order for him to fully develop he'd have to move up in weight. And quite frankly he was not a very tough fighter at LW. The way Mosley beat him at 147 is only amplified at 135. Mosley may even get the KO.

And in no way does Oscar beat Forrest, much less KO him.

TBH I've never been anamored with Forrest. I figure he just had Mosley's number and I've never seen anything else from him that would make me think of him as a top-notch Welter: The dude lost to Mayorga ffs. The other fights, I had Oscar just edging Quartey and beating Mosley in the rematch. De La Hoya got flat out hosed against Trinidad: That was an out and out robbery. While I had Whitaker edging De La Hoya I don't think it was by enough to call Oscar getting the decision a robbery.

Oscar ate Quartey's jab all night. Even with the KD in the last round I got Quartey winning by 2 points. I've seen massive DLH fans even give the fight to Quartey, guys who think he actually beat Whitaker convincingly. They have it as wide as a 5 point margin. You should poll the forum, a LOT of people thought Quartey was a clear winner.

And who did Shane beat at 135? Better people than Oscar did. He also ran over Molina who DLH went life and death with. Shane's best win there was for the title against an undefeated Philip Holiday. No one denies Shane was a better Lightweight than he was at Welterweight. His KO ratio at LW cannot be denied. It was his natural weight. It suited his frame better. DLH has less advantages over him if they fight at 135. The 12 lb weight difference favoring DLH (at 147) should be rather obvious.

Bum rushing him is what Mayorga was good at, something DLH never did and quite frankly could never have done better than Mayorga if he tried. DLH would have to box Vernon. And DLH didn't care much for boxing guys of the size and skill of Forrest. And most certainly not guys that fight just as good if not better off the back foot.

O yea, forgot the second off. Second off Forrest had shoulder problems and arguably won the rematch anyways.

oscar and shane fought 2 different versions of molina.dont quote me but that was around oscars 14th fight and around mosleys 24th or something.i would check boxrec but my net is moving slow.and oscar fought a much fresher version than what shane fought.at least 3-4 years younger so you really cant compare those 2 fights.but if you want to talk about a guy being a product ofskipping divisions,what about shane skipping 140???

the rematch between forrest/mayorga was a boxing match,and forrest still lost.and that was really his last meaningful fight.how he wouldve done against other top guys we wont know but oscar put on a clinic against mayorga coming off a long lay-off so i would like his chances against vernon

after checking,that was oscars 16th fight and shanes 26.fights were over 3 years apart.i never saw oscar vs molina but i saw shanes and that dude was clearly through by that time
