What are your thoughts on him and his career?

He was alrht, but a bit of a bull****ter.

He goes on about the cut glove in the ali fight but fact is it only cost him 6 seconds, which wouldnt have made any differfence.

Good fighter though but is certainly overrated by many older fans in the uk, he was a good european level heavyweight but not more than that.

Henry wasn't as good as his reputation (they loved him in the UK), but he had one hell of a left hook. He certainly would have been a cruiserweight in this era.

Good fighter with a very good left hook. I think he was unlucky to have had to fought guys like Patterson and Ali to get title shots because I think he would have had a decent shot at becoming a world titlist, maybe at cruiserweight in the modern era. He was the best in Europe for a long time, shame he had to go out getting robbed against Bugner.

He had a good left hand, and a lot of determination. His lack of size, punch resistance and tendency to cut made him a rather limited contender, but he could score the occasional upset, such as the close win over number 1 contender Zora Folley. In truth he was little more than a light heavyweight in size, but his punching ability allowed him to compete against bigger heavyweights.

Putting Ali flat on his back made him a legend, but he was only considered a truly top level heavyweight for a short while after the Folley win.

In his book, Hugh McIlvanney described Cooper as the nicest man who will never be heavyweight champion of the world.

I think 'Enery's 'Ammer (his left 'ook) was because he was a southpaw who fought in an orthodox stance.
