I concur, because it was at legendary Shibe Park.

That said, extremely brutal (and VERY late) stoppage, this could have easily been a Griffith-Paret III, dozens of unanswered punches with Jack just leaning against the ropes with his hands down. It isn't until Williams pauses and TELLS him to stop it that the ref seems to even consider it.

I have to go with Duran/Hearns or Graham/Jackson. Both were the most vicious KO's of guys that otherwise were never stopped or even really hurt.

The fact Duran fought so many ATG's and much bigger guys, just makes the fact only Hearns could hurt and put him out is amazing.

Graham was pwning Jackson and had it in the bag. Those two single right hands are the hardest punches I've ever seen.

That might have been the most vicious KO I've ever seen. Ruddock squashing Dokes was unforgettable too.

That was poor refereeing took way to long to stop it, leaning against the ropes, hands down, not doing anything. Then as you said Williams is like "You stopping this fight" the raf does nothing so he keeps hitting him as you would (I think he does not hit him as hard after he speaks to the ref out of goodwill) and then FINALLY the ref stops it.

That was a brain injury waiting to happen...

                      Definitely.

I genuinely thought we had a serious injury on our hands.
