    tough one..

Both highly skilled boxers, with Monzon being the naturally bigger man, however Burley being the more versatile, creative all-rounder. In fact Eddie Futch once called him the greatest allround fighter he ever saw(!)

But monzon was a beast. Extremely composed in the ring, with great stamina and good power. Think he might be able to outpoint him using his height and reach to score on Burley with his jab and right hands. I pick Monzon, but it may aswell have gone the other way.

Monzon is too stiff for Burley. Burley clowns him.

Wow...a great fantasy match..props to the TS. This is almost too hard to pick. Burley was one of the most balanced fighters you could ever hope to see....and very clever....he always opened up at the right time.

I prob favour Monzon slightly. I base that on the size difference. He was taller with a longer reach....he may be able to outwork Burley----> who liked to counter when balanced.

Griffith was damn near washed up and while you gotta rate him ahead of Burley at Welterweight, you can in no way shape or form rate him over Burley at Middleweight.
