Not at all. Sure, Naz was still winning fights in spectacular fashion. But if you compare him to Naz age 20/21 it's patently obvious that something is missing. Hamed didn't just collapse around the time of the Barrera fight. His skills, form and - most importantly - commitment had been on the slide for a long time.

You are thinking about way too hard. If Hamed was still able to destroy guys legit quality fighters like Bungu he clearly was not in any way shape or form shot.

Naz was a fighter with tremendous potential. He had some good wins but ultimately his love for the high life turned him into a shot fighter aged 26.

Nothing infuriates me more than wasted talent. And he wasted it on an epi-tragic scale.

I wouldn't use that term for Naz.

Yes Hamed couldn't beat an A+ level guy like Barrera that still doesn't take away from the dominant wins against very high quality guys like Johnson Vasquez and Bungu

It's not that he lost, its the fact that he got exposed as a very flawed fighter.

I think his power may be a little overrated. Wayne Mccullough said Morales hit harder then Hamed. Still no doubt Hamed could punch hard.

I seem to recall McCullough saying Hamed's punches were more powerful than Moralles, but that Moralles's punches had more snap.
