Was Rocky Graziano any good?

Yes, but he wasn't a true middleweight. More of a junior middle, today he could probably make 147. He could hit very hard and had a solid chin, only Robinson and Zale ever knocked him out. The men who saw a young Rocky Graziano in the 1940's describe him as the most exciting fighter ever.
He wasn't anything special skill-wise, but he put on a lot of pressure, used an awkward low crouch (though lacking the upperbody movement of a Rocky Marciano), and knew how to land his big right hand, whether it was the first or the last round. Graziano pulled off many last round comeback KO wins.Last edited by TheGreatA; 09-11-2010, 12:59 PM.
