Did Sugar Ray Robinson "Duck" Charley Burley and Holman Williams?

I would like to hear some opinions of you so called "boxing historians".

Did Sugar Ray duck either of those 2 fighters?

Williams was way past his past, on his way out and campaigning at Middleweight while Robinson was still at Welter and on the rise.


He doubled the demand on the fight for Burley stating that he was too pretty to fight someone like him.

Burley held nothing against Robinson though he said that there was no money in them fighting each other and that he wouldn't of gave Robinson a fight if it was him holding the title.

Anyway....****en oath he did mate! That **** ducked every fighter that was any good at all. Fought only the bums. He's up there with Wlad Klitschko as the most pwned LAMO fighter ever.

I have not discredited every single fighter. Don't act all feminine because I have a different opinion on certain fighters like Joe Louis for example.

Timing is the main reason he never fought them, most of them were old, in a different weight class and ultimately on their way out when Robinson was on the rise, the only ones you can make an argument for him avoiding are Burley and Cocoa Kid who was a TBA opponent and when Robinson fount out is was Cocoa he increased the demand for that fight as well.
