Calzaghe avoided Johnson 3 times... Yet Hopkins stopped Johnson, IMO Hopkins would have little trouble taking care of Calzaghe when in his prime, i was at the Calzaghe vs Eubank fight in Sheffield in 97 on the undercard of Hamed vs Badillo and it was a great fight yet Eubank was clearly not the same fighter i had seen 2yrs earlier in Ireland against Steve Collins... Hopkins who lost to Roy Jones in 93 was a very good fighter yet he was at the top of his game when beating Glen Johnson in 97

well i believe if you put the calzaghe that fought eubank. he was alittle to inexperienced for bernard. Its also tough to say cause joe was at his absolute peak at 168 and bernard never fought at 168.

Too savvy and I personally scored the fight in Hopkins favour anyway.

Bearing in mind the semi shot Eubank had Calzaghe rolling at times I think Hopkins could actually stop that version.

Calzaghe has a very slim chance at beating B hop in his prime, and an virtually no chance against Roy Jones Jr in his prime.

Prime Bernard Hopkins and prime Calzaghe are not in the same division. However, prime Hopkins is much better p4p than Calzaghe.

Hopkins would win a unanimous decision.

The only real advantages Calzaghe had over Hopkins when they fought back in 2007 were workrate, and stamina.

And even then an older Hopkins managed to land all of the clean, effective punches, dictate the pace of the fight, and lure Calzaghe into traps all night long.

A younger version of Hopkins beats any version of Calzaghe.
