Accomplished all this in just 22 fights. IBHOF worthy?

Since he wasn't at least a featherweight he'll get no respect on these boards (like Ricardo Lopez) even though many people on him have probably never seen him fight.

He was a pretty big attraction when I was growing up, relatively speaking. His fight with Gilberto Roman was epic.

What was his reason for retiring so early?

Yeah. Had a great resume for such a short career. Has most of the great names that were there. Greg Richardson (though that fight would most likely have gone the other way but being in Korea ended as a MD for Moon), Hilario Zapata, Gilberto Roman, Nana Konadu, Khaokor Galaxy, Carlos Salaza (another that could have gone either way). Even his slightly weaker defenses were still very solid compared to a lot of other guys that take lots of defenses.

He packed a great deal into a very short time and did an incredible job of it. You would think a career like that would be over about fifty fights at least. Anyway, great fighter. Aggressive, skilled.

Surprised he lost as easily as he did to Bueno though. Should have been able to beat that guy....Maybe he was tired of it by then as he did retire straight after it.
