This guy just seemed to become shot over night.Other than a fairly flat performance against David Gonzalez and twelve round coaster against Paul Vaden,he showed no signs of any great decline going into his fight with Keith Mullings.

When he did fight Mullings,he looked awful. His punches looked forced and lacked any real power. There was absolutely no fluidity in his combinations and he was relying on sheer activity to win him rounds. Most alarming of all was his lack of balance and coordination.

He was completely dominated and beaten up by Dana Rosenblatt before Rosenblatt went on a survival mission and made the scorecards closer in the last couple of rounds. Then worst of all was his one-sided drubbing by the Laurent Boudouani. You'd really have to watch this to see how sad and pathetic it was.

    Any other similar examples?

That really was awful to watch. Just looked so bad. It was like a sixty year old man in a thirty year old body.

Erik Morales is another. Went from top fighter to shot to death incredibly quickly. Wilfred Benitez.

Watching his legs slowly just stop working and his balance just going all over the place in his rematch with Pac was awful, then his third fight was simply sad to watch. A once former great no more than a decent contender with no balance, coordination or legs, if that.

I thought Morales actually looked pretty good against David Diaz.

Hilmer Kenty. Was world class until he fought Sean O'Grady.

Jeff Chandler. Was an unbeatable 118 champ until his title loss to Richie Sandoval. He fought like a 50 year old man that night.

RJJ-back to back ko losses to Tarver and Johnson after being the best fighter in the world for 10 years.

Kassim Ouma-was totally destroyed by Roman Karmazin

Donald Curry-shocking destruction at the hands of Lloyd Honeyghan after dominating the 147 pound class for 3 years.

Curry did have some good performances after that fight though. He was outboxing a prime McCallum and even won a title in that division.

Hey man, now that's one I had forgotten about. The first time I saw that fight I was shocked. I had seen his previous fight, with him looking his normal brilliant self, then suddenly he's schlucking about (whatever that means) like an old shot fighter that just can't seem to adapt, pull the trigger, get off properly or really do anything like his old self.

              Bizarre.

He was always kind of lackluster though. He would have been knocked out by Holyfield before and after Tyson no matter what. Guy was just plain inconsistent.

Hadn't really ever shown a peak physical prime to begin with I think because of those inconsistencies.

It's like he aged 30 years overnight, and he was only 27 at the time. He was beaten every round soundly until the ref stopped the fight in the 15th. Wisely, he never fought again.
