  • Name Past Fighters Who Defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr?

    @ 130, 135 & 140.

Duran (maybe also Ike Williams havent seen much of him=
Whitaker (only guy who could outbox Floyd convincingly: southpaw)
    Armstrong
    Benny leonard
the Hawk Pryor (his workrate would kill most guys today)

    a good chance/favorite: Ike Williams
Cervantes (havent watched too much of him, but very good boxer, tall ...)
    Meldrick Taylor (prime)
Kostya (a stalker with boxing skills could be dangerous for both PBF and Pac)
Arguello (his straight right is a danger for anybody)

I am sure that a Armstrong would be a total nightmare for Floyd. But I also do think, that Floyd is now in his prime, and wasnt as a lightweight/junior welter.

Some good names and I agree with them except for Kostya but Floyd is not in his prime now, at lower weights he was much much faster, more willing to let his hands go and just an over all better fighter then he is now. I'd give Mosley at Lightweight at good shot at him as well.

No one at 130. Arguello is the greatest at 130 IMO, but PBF is all wrong for him. Saddler has the best style, but he could not be imposing his size, as he would often do in his day.

Split wins/losses with the other greats at 135. (Gans, Leonard, Armstrong, Williams, Duran, Pea)

No one at 140, except Pryor (which I think Mayweather himself mentioned to be his dream fight. I don't know how it would gom but it would be one for the ages.). PBF is all wrong for Zoo. Locche, Ortiz, Loi, Cervantes would all make it difficult but their game was not as well rounded as PBF's. One needs to go back to Canzoneri and Ross, but I do not know enough on those fighters to pick for or against them. 140 is not as deep as 135

Napoles could have easily made 140 (perhaps 135), and give all the fighters I mentioned (win/lose some).

All the greats at 147 beat him.

there wont be many fighters in those weight divisions who would beat Floyd Mayweather but at 147lbs there are quite alot of fighters who would have little trouble taking care of Mayweather.. Emile Griffith, Thomas Hearns, Ray Leonard, Oscar Delahoya, Ray Robinson to name but a few.

                  Id take a 110lb jimmy wilde over a 130, 135, and 140 lb mayweather.

Id also put my money on a 130-140 ted kid lewis over a 130-140 mayweather.
