He didn't have a iron chin. But, his chin was underrated due to the 2 KO losses he suffered. But, people forget that he also took some bombs from good punchers. So IMO he did have a good chin but not "iron chin"

Any other heavyweight who took those shots would have gotten knocked out,remember that the mccall stoppage was a bit of a joke too.lewis was clearly out of shape in the rematch and the mccall punch was just one he didnt see coming and mccall probably didnt expect to land it either.

Imo he had an average chin, but it wasnt titan like. It was just enough to dominate. If Lewis would have been 2 or 3 inches smaller he would't have dominated his era. Much of his style dependet on his big right hand, his good and well rounded skills, experience and his height. He marks the beginning of the so called super heavyweights imo.

Both Rahman and McCall found his button, and almost all fighters have it. Even the iron chinned Roberto Duran was once knocked cold. Ray Mercer too. Larry holmes too. It happens to people who get punched in the face for a living.
Just 2 days ago I was watching Lennox vs Bruno and he took Bruno's right cross several times without going down. In all his fights he showed a good ability to take punches, hard punches. I do disagree that Lewis had a chin like a mcCall or Chuvalo though. those are true 'iron chins' and we do have to set the standard somewhere.
