As another poster gets a wet dream salivating about Ricardo Lopez a guy who didn't bother fighting guys like Carbajal or Chiquita Gonzalez, let's remember that Gonzalez actually went to Korea and did the impossible by winning a decision against Jung Koo Chang and than had to mega fights with Carbajal winning one.

Lopez got lucky with the first fight with Alverez by having the referee take a point away due to the headbutt or else he would have lost that fight. Lopez is a top 50-60 fighter in my book, many put Lopez higher than Hearns which is preposterous. Hearns took many more challenges and did eventually fight BIG opponents. There are many small guys like Pascual Perez who accomplished more than El Finito.

Leo gamez was much smaller than Lopez and yet he would win titles in all the 4 lowest weight classes, including wins in japan, thailand, and a disputed loss to the korean legend Myung Woo Yuh.

I remember how Rugged Man pointed out Lopez to Mayweather as an example of a guy who didn't take greater challenges. For a guy his size, you would expect him to have atleast been a flyweight for a few fights.

some are so high on him bcoz of his excellent technical skills & his undefeated record...

myung woo yuh, pascual perez & pone kingpetch (who accomplished more) gets left behind and sadly underrated...
