Juan Roldan is the only one to ever drop Hagler. And it was more of a balance issue. Wasn't a legit knockdown, but it was official. It was a pull down on the back of Hagler's bald head.

Hagler had a terrific chin and even when he did get stunned, his recuperative abilities, conditioning and determination kept him on his feet. He was incredible.

Hagler was down against Juan Roldan although not hurt it was a legitimate knock down.. Hagler was clever in that fight as Roldan had a style which was very difficult for Hagler to deal with however Hagler deliberately "Thumbed" Roldan in the 3rd round which caused Roldan all kinds of problems and enabled Hagler to score a clear-cut victory.. Roldan landed some great punches on Hagler in the opening 3rds which no other opponent of Haglers had ever been able to do, however due to Roldans eye-closing due to the `Thumb`his attack wilted and Hagler came on strong to secure the victory.. Hagler took bombs from some thunderous punchers during his career and was never floored or hurt due to his incredible chin.

He wasn't hurt that bad, I reckon the commentators over reacted. I'll conceed he might have been a little hurt but certainly not close to going down

he was hurt pretty bad. how many times have u seen hagler hold on the inside? why would he hold on the insisde against a guy like hearns when thats exactly where he wanted to be at to work? he was hurt thats why. hagler got caught, hearns tried to follow up and hagler was holding on for dear life. even when they stepped back up u could tell he was still a bit shook up.

i think its bcuz he got caught cold. being an amateur boxer myself i can tell u the first clean punch of a fight does alot more damage than all the rest after that. also the shots hagler walked through later in the fight werent fully extended, hearns gets the most power when he gets full leverage on his shots. bcuz of the intesity he couldnt turn into all of his shots fully either, he just let his hands go and didnt commit fully to any one punch.
