Mercado is not even near one of Hopkins best opponents.

Please learn more about boxing before you ask questions like this.

And in case any smart ass says "well why did Hopkins get a draw against him?", why don't you actually watch the damn fight and tell me Hopkins didn't get robbed blind.

At least he did better than tito and de la hoya

LOL mercado remains the only fighter to knock hopkins down...TWICE!!and i think he did enough in the later rounds to force it into a draw. It was one of bernard's toughest fights during his reign.

Knocking Hopkins down was just about all he did in the whole damn fight. And let's see that round by round scorecard where you think it's enough for a draw. Here's mine:

          Round 1: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 2: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          *Round 3: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 4: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 5: 8 - 10 Mercado
          *Round 6: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 7: 8 - 10 Mercado
          Round 8: 9 - 10 Mercado
          Round 9: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 10: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 11: 10 - 9 Hopkins
          Round 12: 10 - 9 Hopkins

          Final Score: 115 - 111 Hopkins

The starred rounds are rounds in which Hopkins was robbed of a knockdown. He was robbed blind in the 3rd, and mildly robbed in the 6th (Mercado sat on the ropes to keep himself up). In both instances Mercado was very noticeably hurt.

          VERY easy fight to score.

Anyways from the bold it's pretty clear you didn't even watch the fight as Hopkins won the last 4 rounds.

I've watched it long time ago. All i remember is that both fighters were exchanging punches for most of the time. And also remember mercado steppin up in the later rounds. I have to watch it again to give you my score.

Have to go with Jones on this one, mainly due to the fact that he was fighting guys who were naturally bigger than himself and they had proven themselves at lhw. Hopkins best wins at mw are against Oscar and Tito, both guys who never really established themselves at that weight class.

Not sure about classing McCallum as a good win that guy was pushing 40 at the time he fought Jones, although he did better against Jones, than Toney and Hopkins did
