Mills is rumour too he certainly wasn't openly gay if there was any truth to it.
Other rumours about Mills was that he was Jack the Stripper a serial killer of women, kind of the other extreme I guess.

You're right that it's unproven but I got the information from some fairly reliable people who seemed certain about it. I do realize though that there are a ton of rumours about Mills and it goes against what I said, but I thought I'd contribute to something other than the obvious. Everyone knows Griffith, and even in Griffith's case he continued to deny the allegations until his later years, and most probably know about Panama Al Brown by now.

As someone who was in his prime in London around the time that Freddie took his life, there were so many rumours floating around about how as brave a fighter as Mills could take his own life.
Rope in the Kray twins (who were rumoured to have had a hand in his murder) who he socialised with, one being gay and 2+2=5.
I really don't think there was much to it than rumour mongering GreatA in all honesty but I guess we'll never know.
Trust me as reliable people have Mills down as Jack the Stripper!

There are very few who seem to be open about it. Though I dont doubt that there are many who might be bi***ual OR may have partaken in *******ual activity.

I've heard rumours about Tommy Morrison, Mike Tyson and Emile Griffith having been involved in *******ual activity, but I'm sure they aren't/weren't gay as a preference to the ladies. I've heard stories about Tyson's prison life and about Morrison's mad orgies. Griffith seems to change his mind on the subject.

Chris Eubank can come across as a touch effeminate, but he was a true warrior in the ring with a family. I've never doubted his ***ual preference.

Being openly gay could be very marketable for a decent fighter! A really flamboyant, bitchy, preening showman entering the arena to YMCA booming out! I know its a crass stereotype, but it could sell alot of tickets especially if he was a good fighter!

ive heard about lennox as well. lennox doesnt have any kids & has never been married.

side note, reading the book of basketball by bill simmons. in it he claims that wilt chamberlain is gay. for all the talk of wilt sleeping with so many women, not a single teammate has ever seen wilt with a woman.

wilt also never married nor had a son & died alone.
