What's the story behind the SRR vs. Neil Morrison NC?

From boxrec: The referee walked out of the ring without making a count over Robinson's opponent, reported as Bill Henderson of Patterson, NJ, stating "I was disgusted. It was no contest." - Source AP

Sounds almost like Morrison threw the fight, or was so overmatched the referee thought it was a farce. Anybody have the full story?

    small article:

Robinson's second no-contest bout came in September, 1965 in Norfolk, ******ia in a match with an opponent who turned out to be an impostor. Boxer Neil Morrison, at the time a fugitive and accused robber, signed up for the fight as Bill Henderson, a capable club fighter. The fight was a fiasco, with Morrison being knocked down twice in the first round and once in the second before the disgusted referee, who said "Henderson put up no fight", walked out of the ring. Robinson was initially given a TKO in 1:20 of the second round after the "obviously frightened" Morrison laid himself down on the canvas. Morrison had asked the promoter to be paid his share of the purse in advance, but was refused.
