I agree Joe Louis could hit you with every punch from every range!
I think Hagler was good at both, Tyson and Frazier were monsters if you let them inside. Kenny Norton and Ron Lyle were also fairly good at mid range.

For one of the greatest bouts of pure brilliant, and non stop, inside fighting just watch Duran vs Palomino.
You can see arguably the best inside fighter ever take apart the best inside fighter at 147 for that era (and certainly one of the best ever too).
