What do you guys/girls(you never know) think?

I had it dead even going into the 15th. Im my opinion, that Holmes flurry at the end of the round won him the fight by one round.

Right, I've just watched the whole fight. It was superb, my scores and notes are below:

      Round 1 Holmes
      Round 2 Holmes (clearly)
      Round 3 Even
      Round 4 Holmes (clearly)
Round 5 Holmes (but best punch of the round was a Norton right)
Round 6 Holmes (clearly despite two decent rights from Norton)
Round 7 Holmes (clearly but good pressure from Norton and last 30 secs)
      Round 8 Norton (clearly)
      Round 9 Norton (close)
      Round 10 Norton (close)
      Round 11 Norton (clearly)
      Round 12 Even
Round 13 Holmes (Most dominant round of the fight)
      Round 14 Norton (clearly)
Round 15 Norton (close) Bit of a suprise that for me. A change of mind!

      Totals 144:143 Holmes

Such a close fight! If pushed, I could see round 12 being given to Norton on aggression.....earning him a draw!

I had Holmes up two points. Amazing that they went 15 rounds at that pace. Now days heavyweights are gasping if they go 12.

            Yea Sonnyboyx,

It is one of those fights that should be remastered and stuck on DVD/Blu Ray. Superb entertainment! Makes most heavyweight fights of the last ten years or so look like a joke.

The clincher for me is after 12 rounds (obviously the modern heavyweight distance) both guys hadn't even shown their best work. Rounds 13, 14 and 15 were crackers!

            Both warriors those two!

Yeah great fight, I dont watch it as much as i would due to the terrible quality of my copy but i havent been able to find a good quality version of this fight.

True Davros, both of my copies look like 1978 Betamax recordings.....and then converted to VHS and DVD.

The You tube footage is pretty passable though! In the passage of time these great fights will I'm sure all be made available on DVD/HD or whatever.

The best version of Ali vs Frazier 1 is the version that is most scarce....but looks like it was filmed yesterday. But its so hard to find.

I'd bet DVD and Blu Ray sales would be justified. Look at how well 'Tyson the Movie', 'When We Were Kings' and 'Facing Ali' have done. I'd bet that decent copies of many great fights would sell quite well.

Good stuff! I've got 'The fighters' version of Ali Frazier 1. No Commentary, bad colour!

The other version of the Ali vs Frazier film is on You tube, its a good VHS copy........but the source is terrific. I'd like that source on DVD/Blu Ray.

There is a near perfect Marciano vs Walcott floating around too! I'd like that one too.

I enjoyed watching the extras on the 'Facing Ali' doc. It shows how the old films were remastered to look almost 'current'. It would be great to see the real classics remastered.

Holmes vs Norton in perfect restoration would be terrific!
