How high do you rate James Toney's Punching Power?

At 160, Yes. But it decreased as he moved up to 168 and 175. He's always had very solid power but his knockouts usually came from the accumulation of shots rather than just one or two punches.

His two best performences were proberbly against Barkley and Holyfield. In both fights he steadily broke the opponent down with body punching and excellent right hand leads.

I would rate his power about 7 out of 10. He could have knocked more guys out but he fought in a relaxed style.

JK made some excellent points, I also would have referred to the Holyfield stoppage too......a very difficult thing to do even now!

I'd probably go for a 7.5-8 out 10.

8 out of 10. He had a big right hand. It came alive in the Barkley fight.

A solid 7, or barely 8. Nothing to special but he definitely possessed it and could take you out. Just wasn't ridiculous power that could take you to unconsciousness in one fight.
