Chavez-Taylor, obviously. The amount of damage Taylor took is very well documented - broken orbital, cracked ribs, internal bleeding, swallowing blood all over...ugly stuff.
Cotto-Margarito: Margarito took some horrible punches, but I remember the sequence where he starts to take over. He bulled Cotto into the ropes and snapped his head back with three straight uppercuts. That's what changed the fight and then after that, he just got the **** beat out of him.
Clottey-Corrales: Corrales didn't have close to the same power that he had at lightweight, and he tried to fight inside with the stronger, quicker, tougher, younger fighter. Clottey gave him a hellacious beating.
George Chuvalo vs... Man couldn't quit. But he's still fully articulate, not a mark on his face. He stole the show in Facing Ali.
Gatti-Mayweather: This one got ugly. At first, I was enjoying Floyd's show. But at the end, when Gatti clearly couldn't do a thing, it was the saddest thing I've ever seen in a ring.

I know it's a well known triology, but Ward - Gatti, man did they take some hits to the head.
Kessler - Ward comes to mind. Though Kessler's chin is solid and has the heart of a true viking, but man did he get beat?

Practically every makjor fight David Izon had, he would take enormous punishment to such a degree that the refs seemed to be sadists for not stopping the fights. YET, in the last round or two, he might score a KO.

I recall one fight where he was battered around for 9 rounds, and KO'd the guy in the 10th.

It was so pathetic, he pushed his unrecognizable visage right into the camera sending a message to his wife maybe......"I'm a contenda...."" as it sees that this fight would bring him into the top 10.

He was beaten out of it very quickly, next fight I think, then had a couple more in which he was bashed all over the joint, and was stopped,Thank G-D and then finally retired.

Another fighter who touched my tender feelings was Corey "T Rex" Saunders, in his awful fight with, I think, Golota, years and years ago. He took an unmerciful beating, but lasted the distance, and whilst waiting for the cards to be added, one could see his lower lip, quivering,.......... really pathetic, poor guy.

David Izon was getting the crap beaten out of him by Derrick Jefferson. Even Larry Merchant was calling for a stoppage. Then Jefferson ran out of gas and Izon won.

Izon also took a lot of punishment against David Tua.

Imagine how brutal a match between Izon and Lamon Brewster would have been.

Roberto Duran vs. Davey Moore. Moore literally didn't throw punches in the last couple of rounds.
